Dr. Reagan Anderson is an Osteopathic Doctor (DO) who specializes in Dermatology after five years of general and combat medical experience, followed by three years of dermatology residency at the Michigan State University Consortium/Oakwood Southshore Medical Center. After graduating from Rampart High School, Dr. Anderson moved to Vancouver, British Columbia where he attained his Bachelor of Science and Biology from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Christian Studies from Regent College. Dr. Anderson was then invited to attend the founding Osteopathic Medical School, Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Upon matriculation, Dr. Anderson was commissioned in the United States Navy where he spent the majority of his time serving the United States Marine Corps as the First Reconnaissance Battalion Surgeon. Dr. Anderson states, “over the next five years, it was my distinct honor to serve the medical needs of the military men and women of our great country. This experience, particularly my tours in Iraq where I treated U.S. and coalition military members as well as Iraqi civilians, gave me extensive experience in recognizing and treating the underlying causes of dermatologic conditions.” Dr. Anderson left the military in order to pursue Dermatology. During his dermatology residency, he was actively involved in academic pursuits which included national and international lecturing as well as publishing several dermatologic articles. From October 2008-October 2009 Dr. Anderson represented all Osteopathic Dermatology Residents as the Resident Liaison for the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology. He is on staff at Memorial and Penrose/ St. Francis hospitals and is a member of the El Paso County Medical Society and the Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation. He is also an assistant professor at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, CO. Dr. Anderson’s passion for Dermatology is expressed in his personal statement: “Dermatology is a vast field which has captured my interests and is teaching me more than just the medical side of our largest and most visible organ. Our skin incorporates the kaleidoscope of our genetics, environment, and psyche into the dynamic processes for which you find yourself seeking medical intervention. The interplay between all of these factors makes the field of dermatology endlessly enjoyable and rewarding. Dr. Charles Hughes

Dr. Charles Hughes has been practicing Dermatology in Colorado Springs since 1979. Originally from Iowa where he attended college and medical school, Dr. Hughes spent four years in St. Louis, Missouri completing internship and dermatology residency training before moving with his family to Colorado Springs.
Dr. Hughes is Board-certified in dermatology with over thirty years of experience. He is on staff at Memorial and Penrose/ St. Francis hospitals and a member of the El Paso County Medical Society, Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation and Colorado Dermatology Society. An assistant professor at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Denver and previous President of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, Dr. Hughes helps train future physicians from several medical schools. He served as Chairman of the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology for several years and is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Although Dr. Hughes still devotes much of his time to his practice and patients, he and his wife Judy find time to travel, visit their three sons on the west coast and enjoy all that the Colorado outdoors has to offer.

Jeffry Anderson, DPA Practice Manager
Jeff has been managing programs, organizations, contracts, and staffs for over 40 years as an officer in the U.S. Air Force and for various commercial companies. While in the Air Force, Jeff served as Hospital Registrar and Deputy Hospital Administrator for a Combat Hospital during an assignment in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. He has also owned his own Management and Technical Consulting firm since 2004.
Jeff is responsible for implementation of the vision and policies of Dr. Reagan Anderson, to include staff supervision, business planning and execution, and daily operations of the Colorado Dermatology Institute.

Elly Cross, CPC, CPMA, CDC Business Office Manager
Biography: Elly has been in the medical field for 20+ years and has worked for a variety of specialties including General and Vascular Surgery, Family Practice, Pediatrics, and Anesthesia and Pain Management. She is certified as a Professional Coder and Medical Auditor. Elly also attended the ROP School in Orange County, California where she received a diploma in Medical Administration.
Elly has had an interesting and varied background. In addition to her extensive experience in medical billing and coding, Elly has worked as an interpreter for a Mexican company, and has lived and attended college in Mexico where she pursued her interest in architecture and interior design.
Elly is looking forward to working for the Colorado Dermatology Institute and hopes to be here for many years to come.

Pam Bouziden Billing Specialist
I started in the medical field as a geriatric nurse in the early 70's but stopped working to become a full-time mom and raise my two daughters. In the late 80's I worked in Denver, CO as a travel agent for Carlson-Wagonlit which gave me many opportunities to travel.
In 1998 I moved to Oklahoma and became interested in re-entering the medical field but this time from a business aspect. I received an Associate's degree at Moore-Norman Technology Center where I studied health Insurance Billing, Medical Coding, Medical Transcription, and Medical Ethics. Later I taught at the school as a substitute teacher.
In 2003, I opened a Medical Billing Service where we billed for several specialties including Anaesthesia and Pain Management, Orthopaedic Surgery, Physical Medicine, and Infertility. I am very excited to now have the opportunity to learn about Dermatology and work with a great group of people.
I love being back in Colorado Springs to enjoy the unequalled beauty of the mountains and spending time with my grown daughters and a very spoiled Chihuahua.

Yvette Carrillo Medical Assistant
I am a native of Colorado Springs. I graduated from Wasson High School, attended PPCC, and then finished my schooling by graduating from Pima Medical Institute. I've wanted to be in the medical field since I was in high school. I have always felt rewarded with helping others. I enjoy the relationships I build with patients and the satisfactions of helping them achieve their health. My hobbies are sports, camping, four wheeling, fishing, and hiking. I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and 2 gorgeous daughters. The thing I love most about Colorado are the beautiful mountains and experiencing all 4 seasons.

Lory Chisholm Aesthetician
Lory has lived in Colorado for over 30 years and is a graduate of Wasson High School. The combination of living in Colorado, and her extensive study, training, and experience as an Aesthetician, has made Lory an expert in caring for people’s skin and mitigating the effects of our sometimes harsh climate. Lory has worked with the most popular over-the-counter cosmetic lines for the past 12 years, but felt a strong yearning to educate the public on how to take care of their skin without using harmful products.
As an aesthetician, and working in a holistic and green dermatology office with a Dermatology doctor specifically trained in cosmetic dermatology, she is able to recommend cosmeceutical grade products that contain safe and effective ingredients that won’t harm your skin, your health, or the environment.

Deena Crain Account Specialist
Deena was born and raised in California, spending time in both the southern and northern regions of the state. She graduated from Christian Liberty Academy High School, and went to work for a ministry focused on mentoring youth. Shortly after she met and married her husband of 22 years, and traveled the United States extensively working as youth pastors and teaching/mentoring children and young adults.
Deena and her family moved to Colorado Springs in 1998. After her arrival in Colorado, she initially focused on raising her four beautiful daughters. With her outgoing personality, Deena excels in working with the public. She has owned her own cleaning business, worked several years as a real estate assistant, and most recently, served as the office manager for a local flooring company. Deena enjoys customer/client interaction and looks forward to serving the patients at Colorado Dermatology Institute.
Her interests include gourmet cooking and baking, hiking/spending time outdoors, interior decorating, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Amber De la Torre Medical Assistant
Biography: Amber was born in Southern California and moved to Reno, Nevada where she graduated from the Career College of Northern Nevada in 2003 as a Medical Assistant. She then worked in Internal Medicine for 5 years and realized she had an interest in Dermatology.
For the past 4 years, Amber has been able to work in Dermatology where she learns new things every day and enjoys every minute of it! The most important job she has, though, is raising her 3 sons. Amber enjoys camping, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Haley Harkendorff Medical Assistant
Biography: Haley was born and raised in southwest Colorado. She moved to Tulsa, OK to attend Oral Roberts University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology. After graduation, she stayed in Tulsa and spent three years at a dermatology office where she gained invaluable experience. She assisted with Mohs Micrographic Surgery and learned the skill of cutting frozen sections for immediate microscopic analysis. Following this, she became a pathology technician at a Tulsa laboratory where she processed surgical and dermatological specimens.
Although she loved Tulsa, Haley is happy to be back in Colorado, close to family and the mountains. Outside of work, Haley can be found participating in events for international students. She loves learning about different cultures and enjoys friendships with people from all over the world. Haley is also passionate about traveling to other countries.

Jessica Johnson Medical Assistant
Biography: Jessica was born and raised in northwest Georgia. She found her love of medicine while taking medical courses at her local high school. She received her medical assistant degree through a work-study program sponsored by Dalton State College which included working in a local Family Practice clinic for four years. She moved to Peterson AFB, Colorado Springs, with her husband and since being here has worked as a medical assistant in Orthopedics and Podiatry clinics. She then settled into Dermatology at the Dermatology Center where she worked for Dr. Charles Hughes.
Jessica became a medical assistant to not only help those in need, but to also gain more knowledge about medicine. Through her six years of experience, she has found the most rewarding part of being a medical assistant is when the patient’s problems are resolved and they are able to go about their lives happier and more satisfied.
When she’s not at work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. She also enjoys camping, time on the lake, hiking, fishing, and Georgia football. She looks forward to this new chapter in her life where she can put her skills to use, as well as learn more about dermatology and medicine.

After Alexis graduated from Palmer High School in Colorado Springs, she decided to pursue a career in healthcare. Sarah is a third generation native of Colorado Springs. After graduating from Doherty High School, Sarah took time off from school to decide on a career before beginning college. She found a love for healthcare while caring for her terminally ill grandmother. She obtained her Medical Assistant Certification from Pima Medical Institute where she also discovered a love for dermatologic care. Sarah feels the most job satisfaction knowing she is part of improving people’s lives on a daily basis.

Tammy Sanchez Receptionist
Biography: Tammy was born and raised in northern California. She moved to Colorado as a teenager and graduated from Sterling High School. Shortly thereafter she met her husband and traveled for six years around the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Tammy finally settled down in Colorado Springs in 1990 where she worked in Veterinary Medicine for ten years. She has been a receptionist for 20 years, and enjoys working with and helping people. She joined the field of Dermatology five years ago.
Her interests include fishing, animals, reading, computer games and gardening.
